Charges Pending Iin Drug Search

   Charges are pending against a Lawrenceburg couple in the wake of a drug search at their residence.

   A search warrant was executed by members of the 22nd Judicial District Drug Task Force and the Lawrenceburg Police Department at the 144 West Scott Street, Lawrenceburg, home of Calvin Wayne Holt, 43, and Charlotte Holt.

   During the course of the search, officials report locating approximately five pounds of marijuana along with several different types of pills, items of drug paraphernalia, and materials used to package and distribute marijuana.

   Officials report that the majority of the pills seized appeared to be controlled substances. Neither of the residents, officers say, was able to provide a valid prescription for the pills.

   No charges were filed against the couple at the time the search was conducted. Instead, officials indicate that evidence will be presented to the Lawrence County Grand Jury.
